Mark McDougald

Mark McDougald has worked in the mortgage industry for over 25 years. He is a real estate investor, entrepeneur, and strong proponent of financial education. He is a member of The CMLA (Community Mortgage Lenders of America) – the voice of the Community Mortgage Lender, and Advisory Board Member for Lender’s One – a National Alliance of Mortgage Bankers. He is a member of FIRST - a non-profit organization focused on giving back to the community and inspiring others to do the same, and currently serves as a Wish Granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Mark is passionate about educating consumers about what is likely the single largest investment they will make in their life. “I believe that our Mortgage Planners must be both teachers and students – they must be committed to educating themselves and in turn educating their clients." His passion and beliefs are obvious if you tune in to the syndicated radio show Life as You Own it where he and co-host Craig Miller serve up common sense financial advice in a style that is one part education and one part fun. The show celebrates its fifth year of production this year.
