In 1990, after only 2 ½ years of investing in real estate, Mr. Walmsley using the income from single family rent houses, replaced his earned income and quit as Director of Sales at Bally’s Health Clubs.
Retired at only 34 years of age and wishing to share the benefits of passive income streams with others, Mr. Del Walmsley founded Lifestyles Unlimited with the goal of helping others attain financial freedom by investing in real estate. Since then, Mr. Walmsley has educated thousands of his students on using real estate to build realized, recurring income streams.Mr. Walmsley serves his clients through one-on-one mentoring, educational road trips and seminars on every aspect of locating, evaluating, negotiating, contracting, closing and operating investment real estate. As of 2014, his students have purchased tens of thousands of single-family rental properties and over 450 apartment complexes. While many of these students continued to prosper and grow their own portfolios some have gone on to become mentors and lead investors themselves.
Mr. Walmsley was at one time the Chairman of the Houston Apartment Association’s and the National Apartment Association’s, Independent Real Estate Owners Council (IROC). Their charter is to provide information service and support to investors with portfolios less then 500 units. His personal portfolio has ranged over the years from as many as 100 rental homes to his current portfolio of over one thousand apartment units. Mr. Walmsley has also won the Houston Apartment Association’s and the National Apartment Association’s Independent Real Estate Owners independent investor of the year awards.
At 57 he has been teaching and investing in real estate for over 25 years. During which time he has hosted both TV and Radio shows. Today he still teaches live seminars on a monthly basis just to stay in touch with the current community of new investors. His goal in life is to help as many people as he can buy their lives back from corporate American. To help others live like he does, able to do what they want, when they want, with whom they want.
